The Teen PEP curriculum is designed to enable high schools and community-based organizations to use a peer education approach to provide students with medically accurate sexual health information and equip them with the skills they need to make healthy decisions. The Teen PEP curriculum uses a hands-on, activity-based structure which provides students with opportunities for discussion and skill development.

The curriculum includes two primary resources:
- is the curriculum used by the program advisor team to teach the daily Teen PEP peer leadership and sexuality education course for junior and senior peer educators. This 16-unit (450+ pages) handbook enables peer educators to become knowledgeable in sexual health content and develop leadership skills. Peer educators learn group facilitation, active listening, team-building, public speaking, and presentation skills and apply these skills along with their knowledge of sexual health issues to effectively conduct prevention education workshops with their peers.

- is the curriculum used by the Teen PEP peer educators to conduct workshops with their peers. The Outreach Workshops resource includes ten complete peer-to-peer sexual health workshops. For each workshop, objectives, attention-getting skits, skill-building activities, discussion questions, and workshop evaluation forms are provided. This resource also includes a Family Night workshop which is designed to open the lines of communication between parents and their children. Peer educators conduct the Family Night workshop for parents and other family members, school personnel, and community members.
